If it is not filtered and enters the cylinder, it will accelerate the wear of the cylinder, piston and piston ring. Experiments have shown that the wear of the cylinder and piston ring will increase by 8 to 9 times. Therefore, the engine intake must be filtered.

The function of the air filter is to remove impurities such as dust and sand contained in the air entering the engine to ensure the cleanliness of the air. It is divided into dry and wet types.
Dry air filter is to put paper cloth or synthetic fiber filter material between the inlet and outlet to achieve the purpose of purifying the air.
Wet air filter is oil bath air filter, which adds a proper amount of gear oil or diesel oil to the air filter. When the air blows over the oil surface, it is adhered and absorbed by the oil to achieve the purpose of purifying the air.
After the engine is installed with air filter, the intake resistance will increase and the engine efficiency will be reduced, but the clean air after filtering will greatly extend the service life of the engine. Another function of air filter is to reduce the noise generated by the engine intake.
